Ability LandCorruption ToolTip

In-game tool tip for Land Corruption.

Land Corruption is one of the many Unit Abilities in Master of Magic. With this ability, a unit would supposedly inflict a map tile with Corruption by remaining there for a full turn. Whether from problems programming the ability, game balance, AI complications, or the likely annoyance of players inadvertently Corrupting their own territory, this ability was not implemented at all. It does not appear on any units. It is not possible to obtain the ability through any spell, enchantment, or magical item.

Known Bugs[]

The ability is entirely defunct, in fact. It might have been intended as a voluntary overland tile function (such as Meld, Build, or Purify). The ability may be modded into the game or appear, ironically enough, through corruption of savegame data, but it does not create a Corrupt button by which to order a unit to corrupt its tile, nor act automatically as the ability's ingame description would suggest.
